How Do You Know When You Need To Detox Your Body?
What we think of toxins in our bodies, we often think of them as causing some terrible disease but the truth is that toxins can cause annoying illnesses such as weight gain, bad digestion, skin problems, irritability and trouble sleeping - something we don’t typically associate with them. So how do you know when you need to detox your body?
A detox isn’t something that you should do at a whim. Doing it too frequently can cause more harm than good so you want to be sure that you are the schedule of doing it yearly or even twice yearly depending on the detox program you’ve chosen. Of course, if you live a healthy lifestyle and eat healthy, organic foods in between you won’t need to detox quite so often and you will notice that you feel healthy and vibrant.
Before deciding whether or not you need to detox your body, take a good look at how you feel and some of the symptoms you might have. Some of the things to look out for include:
Bad digestion
Constipation
IBS
Excess weight
Food allergies
Bad breath
Acid reflux
Parasites (you might see them in your stools if you look close enough!)
Trouble sleeping
Frequently getting colds and flu’s
Chronic headaches
Flatulence
Chronic fatigue
Kkin rashes
All of the above can be caused by the taxing effects that too many toxins have on your body. You see, your body needs to work harder to try to remove the toxins when they build up and this means that it might not be able to take care of some of the other things that it normally should.
Using a vegetable juice fast or herbs to detox your body can be a great way to get back on track and regain some of your health. When fasting, though, you want to be careful not to do it for more than a couple days as this can do more harm than good. When you start any detox program, you might actually feel worse the first couple days as the toxins are being purged from your body so it’s important to stick with the program for the full amount of time (usually one to four weeks) so that you can get almost toxins out and start to feel vibrant and energized again.
